to create our first pieces, handmade notebooks from hemp and saa paper. We were further influenced
by the continuing tradition of textiles and materials that are made here in Northern Thailand,
in our home provinces.
After graduation, we thought to make our handcrafted pieces available for others to use and enjoy.
Our notebooks and greeting cards were very well liked and we found ourselves making one hundred
notebooks at a time by hand! We were inspired to grow our handmade business, and from
here we built our company, ARS D-SINE, established in 2001.
two fast growing kids. Our company has grown from humble beginnings of just three people to an
in-house staff of twenty-five and close to twenty outsourced jobs within our local community.
We work together like family, and it is very important to us to reach out to our community to provide
a livelihood to help local women. Our outsourced work allows women to work from home and earn
a much-needed wage which gives them the independence and means to help take care of their families.
It has always been our intention to choose honest, natural materials like handwoven cottons,
linen, hemp, natural dyes, genuine leather and saa paper. Most of these materials are produced
in Thailand, and some come from our nearby surroundings at home here in the North of Thailand.
Because we can see and feel the unique beauty of our local materials we want very much to share
this beauty with you.
Since the beginning we wanted to promote these local skills, products and craftspeople. We choose
to combine our local materials with modern design in a simple, functional way to be used in your
everyday life.

当時の私たちはハンドメイドのものを使用するのが大好きで、

その他の不満足な素材で作られたものでしたので
私たちはしばしば失望していました。
麻やサーファ紙から手作りの手帳を作成するモラコットの仕事は
自然のシンプルさに集中していました。
私たちがインスピレーションを感じたのは自然のものでした。
私たちの国タイの北部で伝統的に作られる繊維と材料によって、
私たちは更なる影響をうけたのです。
卒業後、私たちは私たちの手作りの作品を
他の人が利用し楽しめるようにすることを考えました。
私たちのノートやグリーティングカードはとても人気で、
手作りのノートを一度に100冊！作成する方法をみつけ、
私たちは、手作りのビジネスを成長させるために
2001年に当社のARS D-SINEを設立しました。
家族は常に私たちにとって非常に重要でした。

20人近くの外注スタッフの会社に成長しました。
